Job Description

The Dialysis Registered Nurse assists patients with kidney disease by providing dialysis treatments. The main duty of the Dialysis Registered Nurse is to purify the blood by eliminating all toxins caused by the failing kidney.

Responsibilities

Dialysis RN duties include:


  • Operating and monitoring a hemodialysis machine used to clean the patient’s blood.

  • Assessing the vital signs of the patient vitals while undergoing treatment.

  • Being able to take necessary measures if any problems arise.

  • Meeting with the patient on the procedures and results in a compassionate and sympathetic manner.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Dialysis RN within the past two years.


  • Current Nursing License in good standing.

  • Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
