RNICUWest Bend, WI

ICU Nurses must provide top end care for patients with life-threatening injuries. Intensive Care Unit RNs must have the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while staying composed during unpredictable, traumatic events.

Responsibilities

Intensive Care Unit RNs duties consist of:
  • Evaluating the patient's progress.
  • Taking needed steps if there are any changes in the patient's condition.
  • Helping medical staff with procedures.
  • Making sure all equipment is functioning properly while caring for patients.
  • Supplying needed medication in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
  • Providing emotional support while updating family members of current health status of the patient.

Requirements

One year of experience as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse within the past two years.
  • Current Nursing License in good standing.
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
