Job Description

Intensive Care Unit Nurses must provide top end care for patients with life-threatening injuries. Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses must have the ability to make rapid and spot on decisions while keeping composed during unpredictable, traumatic events.

Responsibilities

ICU Registered Nurses duties include:
  • Analyzing the progress of the patient.
  • Taking needed steps if there are any changes in the patient's condition.
  • Assisting medical staff with procedures.
  • Making sure all medical devices are functioning properly while taking care of patients.
  • Providing needed medication in a fast moving, highly stressful environment.
  • Providing emotional support while updating family members of current health status of the patient.

Requirements

One year of experience as an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse within the past two years.
  • Current RN License in good standing.
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
