ICU Nurses must provide top end care for patients with life-threatening injuries. ICU Registered Nurses must have the ability to make immediate and spot on decisions while keeping composed during unpredictable, traumatic events.

Responsibilities

ICU Nurses responsibilities include:
  • Evaluating the progress of the patient.
  • Following the correct process if the patient's condition changes.
  • Helping medical staff with medical procedures.
  • Making sure all medical devices are functioning correctly while caring for patients.
  • Dispensing necessary medication in a fast moving, high stress environment.
  • Providing emotional support while updating family members of current health status of the patient.

Requirements

One year of experience as an ICU RN within the past two years.
  • Current RN License in good standing.
  • Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
