Job Description

The Catheterization Lab Nurse assists medical staff in the analysis and treatment of cardiac problems. Cath lab RNs are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and give emotional and physical support to the patient.

Responsibilities

As a Catheterization Lab RN your duties include:


  • Monitoring the patient’s vitals before, during and after their procedure.

  • Administering and recording medication.

  • Providing treatment as needed.

  • Helping the physicians perform different procedures such as stent placements.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Cath Lab Nurse within the past two years.


  • Current RN License in good standing.

  • Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
