Job Description

The Catheterization Lab Nurse assists doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. Catherization lab RNs are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and give physical and emotional support to the patient.

Responsibilities

As a Catheterization Lab RN your duties include:


  • Monitoring the patient’s vitals before, during and after their procedure.

  • Administering and recording prescribed medication.

  • Providing treatment when necessary.

  • Helping the doctors perform several procedures such as angioplasties and stent placements.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse within the past two years.


  • Current Nursing License in good standing.

  • Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
