Job Description

The Cath Lab Nurse assists medical staff in the analysis and treatment of cardiac problems. Catherization lab RNs are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and provide emotional and physical support to the patient.

Responsibilities

As a Catheterization Lab Nurse your duties consist of:


  • Monitoring the patient’s vitals before, during and after their procedure.

  • Dispensing and recording medication.

  • Providing treatment as needed.

  • Assisting the doctors perform different procedures such as stent placements and angioplasties.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Cath Lab Nurse within the past two years.


  • Active Nursing License in good standing.

  • Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
