The Catheterization Lab Nurse assists medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. Catheterization lab nurses are responsible for preparing the patient for their examinations, and provide emotional and physical support to the patient.ResponsibilitiesAs a Catheterization Lab RN your duties include:
Monitoring the patient’s vital signs before, during and after procedures.
Administering and logging prescribed medication.
Providing treatment when necessary.
Helping the physicians perform various procedures such as angioplasties and stent placements.
RequirementsOne year of experience as a Cath Lab RN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Up to date BLS from American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.
