Job Description

The Operating Room Tech is responsible for assisting surgeons in the operating room. An Operating Room Tech will prepare the patient and room for their operation and make certain all medical tools are sterile and operational.

Responsibilities

As an Allied Health Operating Room Tech your duties include:


  • Evaluating the health of the patient before, during and after the operation.

  • Predicting and handing supplies and instruments to surgeons during surgery.

  • Conserving any items needed for laboratory examinations.

Requirements

One year of experience as an OR Technician within the past two years.


  • Current Nursing License in good standing.

  • Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
