The Med/Surg Licensed Vocational Nurse works under the supervision of a doctor and a registered nurse aiding patients before and after procedures. Med/Surg LVNs main job is to make sure the safety and comfort of the patient.
- Watching the patient’s pain and care for any cuts or infection sites.
- Evaluating the patient’s well being before and after operations.
- Assisting the registered nurse in juggling several patients at once.
One year of experience as a Med/Surg LVN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Current BLS from American Heart Association.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
