The Surgical Tech is responsible for taking care of patients before, during and after their procedures. Surgical Techs work with the surgeon and other members of the medical staff to ensure the surgery goes as planned and the patient is experiencing the best care possible.

Responsibilities

As a Surgical Tech your responsibilities include:
  • Getting the patients ready their procedures and completing various health assessments.
  • Giving pre and post-operative medications.
  • Working with the surgeon during the surgery with providing medical tools and constantly monitoring the patient.
  • Tending to patient's wounds after their operation and prevent any problems.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Surgical Technician within the past two years.
  • Active RN License in good standing.
  • Current BLS from American Heart Association.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
