Boston is one of the top ten most popular tourist destinations in the US for the same reason that it's a top choice for travel nursing contracts. From museums and historical sites to sports to exciting events to beautiful views, "Beantown" has something to offer everyone.
Bostonians love to celebrate, and holidays in Boston are always a sight to see. St. Patrick's Day, for instance, is popular due to Boston's high Irish population and it being the anniversary of Evacuation Day, one of the most important days in Boston history. Boston's 4th of July celebration is the oldest and largest public Independence Day party in the nation. Beyond that, New Year’s Eve and the Boston Marathon are city-wide celebrations for residents and visitors alike.
No matter what time of year you take advantage of contract nursing in Boston, there are lots of must-sees in the city. Freedom Trail includes 16 of Boston's historic sites and great views of the city. Newbury Street is the place to go for shopping and dining or just people watching as the college students, professionals, and street performers mix. Ride the swan boats at Boston Public Garden and visit Cheers if you're feeling touristy. Spend a day at one of the coffee shops in Harvard Square, where every season is beautiful in its own right.
For the nurse who prefers to unwind in nature after a busy work week, Boston is still a great choice. Boston Harbor Islands State Park combines scenic views with opportunities to camp and fish. What it comes down to is this: Boston has it all. After one day of talking to the locals you meet on your contract, you'll realize how much they love this city. If you want to love Boston, too, give Nurses PRN a call to see what we have available!
