Job Description

The Surgical Tech is responsible for the care of patients before, during and after their surgical procedures. Surgical Techs work with the surgeon and other members of the medical staff to ensure the medical procedure goes as planned and the patient is getting the best care possible.

Responsibilities

As a Surgical Tech your responsibilities consist of:
  • Getting the patients ready their surgical procedures and performing various health assessments.
  • Giving pre and post-operative prescribed medications.
  • Helping the surgeon during the surgery with providing medical tools and continually monitoring the patient.
  • Tending to patient’s wounds after their operation and prevent any problems.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Surgical Tech within the past two years.
  • Active Nursing License in good standing.
  • Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
