The Phlebotomist is in charge of drawing blood from patients requiring blood lab work. Phlebotomists must be capable of using instruments necessary for drawing blood, and must be able to calm patients during the procedure.
As a Phlebotomist your duties include:
- Determining the best method for obtaining the samples necessary for testing.
- Taking blood samples from patients while ensuring patients are as comfortable as possible.
- Labeling samples accurately according to the sample type and patient ID.
One year of experience as a Phlebotomist within the past two years.
- Active Phlebotomy License in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
- Negative Drug Screen.
