Allied Health OR Tech

Bellingham, Washington

Bellingham is a unique place that incorporates all of the excitement one might find in a large metropolis into a small, welcoming city, making it the perfect place for a travel nursing contract. Being located in the Pacific Northwest gives Bellingham beautiful features including the Cascade mountains, tons of waterfront, and the nearby San Juan Islands.

Along with its gorgeous views, Bellingham has a vibrant population and tons to do in the city. The downtown area features restaurants, bars, museums, and theaters along with a farmer's market selling local seafood, fresh produce, and handmade arts and crafts. The Fairhaven District is a distinct neighborhood in Bellingham with a rich history along with plenty of ways to spend a day from antique shopping to art galleries to relaxing in one of the many pubs. Grab your nurse friends and explore Fairhaven on a day off.

The varied landscape of Bellingham lends itself to a long list of outdoor activities; the active travel nurse won't be disappointed. The many lakes in the area, some of which feature waterfalls, are perfect for swimming and boating, and the nearby mountains are useful for hikers, skiers, and snowboarders. You can even go whale watching around the San Juan Islands.

To get to know Bellingham and its residents, go to one of the many celebrations it hosts throughout the year. The Ski to Sea race has participants cross country skiing, downhill skiing, running, bicycling, canoeing, mountain biking, and sea kayaking their way from the mountains to the coast. The race is surrounded by events for spectators featuring good food and live entertainment. April Brews Day is a more relaxed option for the nurse who'd rather sample local brews on a day off. If you're ready to explore the unique city of Bellingham, give Nurses PRN a call!
