OR TECHOR Tech/Surg Tech

The Operating Room Tech is responsible for working with surgeons in the OR. An Operating Room Technician will prepare the room and patient for surgery and make sure all medical equipment is sterilized and functioning correctly.

Responsibilities

As an Allied Health OR Technician your responsibilities consist of:
  • Monitoring the health of the patient before, during and after the operation.
  • Anticipating and handing instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
  • Preserving any items needed for lab examinations.

Requirements

One year of experience as an Operating Room Technician within the past two years.
  • Active RN License in good standing.
  • Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
