At Nurses PRN, we understand becoming an agency nurse or changing agencies can be intimidating. We’re here to make the process go smooth and painless. We’ve been supplying healthcare facilities such as Scripps and Pomerado with nurses for several years. We’ve established relationships all over the industry, so no matter if you’re an RN looking for a part-time Outpatient Surgery position, or a per diem NICU position we can find the right opportunity for you.
If you’ve narrowed down the specialty of your choice such as ER, TELE, or ICU, but are just not sure which style of job best fits your lifestyle, just let us know. The three different styles of work to choose from are per diem (supplemental), contract, and permanent. Not sure which one is right for you keep on reading, otherwise our recruiters are great listeners who work with you to find the right position that brings you long lasting success and satisfaction.
Per Diem (Supplemental)
Originally – per diem staffing was the bread and butter of Nurses PRN. It was a way for RNs to pick up additional shifts through supplemental staffing. This on-call style of work brings nurses extra income when the available shift fits into their schedule. In this industry, it’s not uncommon to see an influx of shifts come through quickly… for example, we staff many emergency rooms (ER) and you never when a huge influx of patients will come through the door, creating a high demand for our nurses. Even Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU), Outpatient Surgery centers, or Intensive Care Units (ICU) can experience several call-ins or unforeseen issues, creating a need for our agency nurses. Per diem or supplemental work offers great flexibility for our RNs.
Contracts offer stable, guaranteed hours for the length of the contract, which usually ranges between 4 and 13 weeks. This style is great for nurses who need to maintain a full set of hours and/or benefits. Our contract work has a variety of opportunities, and we are driven to combine the right specialty with length to fulfill the exact specifications our RNs give.
Permanent RN jobs are also something Nurses PRN specializes in. We have a dedicated permanent placement team committed to finding full time nurse positions, if that is what our candidate are looking for. Every healthcare system is in need of strong leadership and full time managers, our focused permanent placement team assists the facilities in finding the right individual to fit the need.
No matter the style of work, the specialty, or if you love working for Fallbrook or UCSD, our recruiters here at Nurses PRN are ready to help. Give us a call or send us an email so we can start finding and matching you to the opportunity that works best for you.
